Conference

In an effort to educate nutrition, hunger, and small farm adovates about the Farm Bill 2007 WSFNC offered several Farm Bill Educational Forums this winter. These forums were organized by Kelly Horton, our Agriculture Legislative Co-Chair. The first forum was co-hosted by Operation Frontline and Solid Ground (formerly the Fremont Public Association http://www.fremontpublic.org/index2.html) in their conference room opposite their food bank. Pioneer Organics http://www.pioneerorganics.com provided snacks including organic apples and pears for our second forum.

Farm Bill Advocacy

WSFNC sent a letter to Washington State legislators to advocate for a healthier Farm Bill in 2007. You can read the letter we sent here.
